syntax error

Hi,
I'm really sorry if my problem will sound completely retarded but, I've been stuck with it for some time and can't get any further.
I've installed python 2.7.13, then installed simplejson. After this being done, I've executed "python.exe getBroadlinkSharedData.py" and got:

File "getBroadlinkSharedData.py", line 7

^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

I've tried this on win 7 (python 2.7.13) , win 10 (python 2.7.9) and centos (python 2.7.5), always with the same result.
What am i doing wrong?

Got it, my bad, had some extra lines in it thanks to downloading from git.
