if a save fails, spinner will never go away

any time a save fails, the spinner icon will never go away. because of this I lose all my code and changes I have made since last saving and often lose many hours of work.

Currently the only work around is to go into developer tools and disable the spinner so I can copy my code and then paste load a new lightning studio up and paste the code in.
