hey, just met this error when double clicking it. I have .NET framework 4.5.1, and used dnscrypt 1.4.0.

My primary system that I run this on is 64-bit. What version of Windows are you using? Also, 1.4.0 is not going to work as he made some changes to the service parameters that prevent it from being installed with my application.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with AMD processor.
Does it mean the root cause of this error is because I'm using 1.4.0?
Anyway, I went back to the command line.

I just tested this on a different system running Windows 7 Professional 64bit and it launched fine. 1.4.0 wouldn't be causing this since it's not called until you try to press the Install/Start button.
