Many projects have guides like this. I think they're pretty handy for people coming from other languages looking to grasp the syntax/idioms quickly. Some examples:
Rust:
Scala:
Haskell:
This list is by no means extensive.
Great idea!
I can see this being its own page (ocaml_for_x_programmers) linking to a bunch of different pages. It could sit in learning, have its own subfolder within learning, and be linked from the main page.
Nice idea.
Here's a list of related articles I've in my bookmarks:
- OCaml for Haskellers
- Rust from a C++ and OCaml programmer's perspective
- The Genius of Python, The Agony of Ocaml
- Four MLs (and a Python)
- Comparing Objective Caml and Standard ML

I know this is a lot of information but I just want to leave this here for reference.
I can start working on "OCaml for Python Programmers". I used Python extensively when I started learning OCaml.
OCaml for Reason Programmers might prove quite useful to write.
I'm planning on starting an "OCaml for Scala Programmers" since I use Scala at work, once I get some more time available.
