Hi,
I am trying to install OpenSIS 9.1 on my cpanel server with PHP 8.0 and Mysql 8.0. I am getting following error post filling database details in an installer form.
Access denied; you need (at least one of) the SUPER or SYSTEM_VARIABLES_ADMIN privilege(s) for this operation
I have created a database from my cpanel user database section and given all the privileges that it supports.
What could be the issue ?

Are you using a VPS environment? Does the user you created have superuser privileges within phpMyAdmin on WHM as well?

I am on a shared hosting environment.

Shared environments will likely not work with open SIS because the core
MySQL installation on the server your shared environment uses, almost
certainly will not allow super privileges to any one shared environment
user. It's a security risk. You'd have access to every database in every
shared environment within your shell.
You need a VPS or dedicated environment where you have roos user access to
MySQL
