Outlook Online doesn't show addin button in first opened email

Your Environment
- Platform [PC desktop, Mac, iOS, Office on the web]: Office on the web
- Host [Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.]: Outlook
- Operating System: Windows 11
- Browser (if using Office on the web): Chrome 124.0.6367.202
Expected behavior
When I open Outlook Online and select an email, I expect addin buttons to be visible.
Current behavior
When I open Outlook Online and select an email, I don't see addin buttons.
They are visible only after I select another email. This happens even with Viva Insights addin.
Steps to reproduce
- Open Outlook Online
- Either first email is selected, or select one
- The addin button isn't visible
- Select next email
- The addin button is visible
This is a known issue and is by design from the Outlook web team. This design ensures that customers do not see a sub-optimal experience when logging in to Outlook on the web for the first time. We do not have an ETA for a fix available at this time but rest assured that we are working towards improving this behavior in our future planning cycles.
