Adding a tag to a selection (when one or more already have same tag)

When a tag is added to an image, and I make a selection that includes the already tagged image, and want to tag the rest of the images with the same tag, the UI is unclear of the current state, nor is there an "1-click" option to add tags to all selected images.

What shows up is that the tag in the "Tag Selector" already has a check mark next to it (because one of the images is tagged as such). This is the first problem. It's not clear that all images or just a few are tagged.

The second problem, is in order to tag all the images, I have to uncheck, then recheck the box.

This is easy, but not intuitive behavior.
