New Admin Site (https://new.admin.opencerts.io/)

Hi,

Few questions on the site that our users had discovered just now:

  1. Do we have to use the new admin site starting now?
  2. Can we still use the old admin site? If Yes, till when?
  3. If it's recommended to use the new site & metamask, what's GovTech's recommendation on the Metamask's password? I remember it was recommended by GovTech before that Ledger Nano's pin should be split within 2 staffs, what about the Metamask's password?

Regards,
Ryan (SP)

Hi Ryan,

You don't have to use the new admin site iht now and there is currently no end of life for the current one. The reason we created a new website is purely technical. The current website is very outdated, it was built before we created a lot of libraries around OpenAttestation and OpenCerts.

In term of features, the new website helps you to cancel a transaction, except this, it should be the same... except we dropped the ledger flow... because Metamask already supports Ledger.

Ledger is very troublesome (basically every time someone reports a problem it's related to Ledger) and Metamask has a team to take care of the integration.

There is a guide on the ledger website on how to use ledger through Metamask the safe way. Also, you can already use ledger through Metamask on the current website.

Let me know if this helps or if you need further recommendations from us.

Thanks, I think that's all for now from us.
