It has been pointed out that the enum in this field is US specific. We need to replace this information with a schema or enum of our own the source of which has not been determined.

OpenReferral has:

  • cd
  • deaf_interpreter
  • disabled_parking
  • elevator
  • ramp
  • restroom
  • tape_braille
  • tty
  • wheelchair
  • wheelchair_van

UK work has so far not produced an enumeration or identified a suitable external taxonomy. Free text used in data so far includes:

  • Accessible toilets
  • Accessible toilets
  • Bus nearby
  • Dementia friendly
  • Free Events
  • Guide dog friendly
  • Venue is on one level
  • Visually impaired friendly
  • Wheelchair access

The other_attribute table in HSDS 2 (equivalent to link_taxonomy in the UK version 1) allows for linking to an accessibility taxonomy. The recording location accessibility forum thread describes other accessibility fields
