Please stay on function or page when cycling through Perl versions?

I was looking for the earliest occurrence of fc in the Perl docs. So I was using the nifty drop down menu to cycle through the Perl versions. Unfortunately, I was sent to the main page of each version instead of staying with fc going back in time. I would love it if the drop down would keep the function or page I am looking at and just switch the version of that page. So, if I were to click version 5.16.0 in the menu while looking at fc, it would go to https://perldoc.perl.org/5.16.0/functions/fc.html.
Also, if something doesn't exist in a version of Perl, a little message and some navigation would be nice instead of a plain 404.
