Many files are tracked by git that should be ignored

A lot of generated files are currently in git which creates noise from file changes when working on the project. This can make it hard to quickly switch branches or stash changes. Primarily this concerns the generated data files including csvs and zips, and the css and css map files generated from the scss source. Review .gitignore and the intellij project files at the same time.
