What new functionality would you like to see?

I think for a lot of folks that are paying for 3rd party services to manage feature flags having this baked-in as an extension to the core stack would be compelling https://openfeature.dev/. LaunchDarkly a common service in the space can be very expensive in its pricing model for a lot of teams long term.

How would you use this new functionality?

I would use this as an api layer for my organization to manage feature flags but also for those applications to call and check if something is on or off.
