LTI1.3 uses wrong Moodle user field to create account in Panopto

When loggin into Panopto from Moodle using LTI 1.3 we notice that Panopto uses the wrong information to create a user ID in Panopto.

What we see is that the default Moodle ID number of a user is used for creating a user ID in Panopto. We need it to be the Moodle username instead of the ID number.

How do we change this?

Hi,

I will create internal item to track to investigate this and to determine why this is happening.
It could be a bug due to the LTI 1.3 implementation but we will investigate.

@Richardvi Please make sure in your LTI 1.3 or LTI 1.1 external tool configuration to send username.
Edit your external tool and under Share launcher's name with tool > Always
