[BUG] Repositories not able to be updated properly

Description of the bug

At the time of running git subtree pull, the script says the subtree was never added.
However, if you run the script on Gitpod, it will say it is on its latest commit, which means it is updated and all is working properly.

Note that if you did not add the subtree properly (squashed commits or so), the script won't work.
