Shredos doesn't use a mouse. The output of lspci -k would be useful, but if your keyboard doesn't work you would need to login to shredos via the network as described here to run lspci.
Could be a USB driver issue, however you checked the Bios for USB settings? Does it work with any other live DVD/USBs/OS
