Construct a mobile App that runs on the Android platform and the iOS platform. The target audience for the App is children aged 7-10 years old. Functionally, the App is a puzzle game designed to be educational and fun. The game-play is a form of “guess the secret number”. With respect to the target audience, the general requirements of the App are: x Choose an appropriate visual metaphor; x The visual layout must be consistent and coherent; and x Use appropriate music and sound effects during game-play and game configuration. During game-play, the App presents the child with a series of virtual cards, each having a set of numbers. The numbers appear to be randomly selected, however they are chosen based on the rules of “complete finite sequences of integers” as describe next. A finite sequence of positive integers C {c1,...,cn} is complete if it can be used to make another finite sequence of positive integers P {p1,..., pm} such that: where ai is 0 or 1 Reference: Honsberger, R. Source project code for a complete mobile dress-up game. The game includes 20+ items for two main categories, dress-up and make-up.. All items are initialized through seperate base classes from a single scriptable object so it's easier to manage their individual properties. Some of the key features are as follows: Two main and over 20 sub categories. Dress up items are switchable, some make-up items are applied through drag and draw functionality of a kit. Each item can be locked to be purchased through in-game currency or through ads. Items can be unlocked after a specific number of levels have been played. Items can be added to a weekly subscription package. (They will be unlocked for 7 days to be usable) A basic AI controller that will randomly choose dresses and make up for the AI character for comparison with the player's character. AI character can randomly choose from 10 states, ranging from the most basic, just a dress equipped to the highest scoring, a dress with six make up items applied. It's user's luck that which state has been chosen by the AI character for a specific level. Items for users can be assigned points seperately, to give user more points if they are using weekly subscription package items or premium items. Tweaks and functionalities or a better experience such as selected state and undo functionality for each item have also been added. Every item has a seperate OnClick class that decides what will happen with that particular object once its relevant button is clicked. Most items share the same functionality however this makes it a lot easier to manage different animations, effects and properties for different objects. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID, usaid.gov) is an independent agency from the U.S. federal government that is a leader in supporting the developing countries around the world in terms of education, economy, health, agriculture and many other fields. One of the Agency’s biggest projects is supply of medicine commodities to more than 60 countries around the globe. For the past couple of years USAID have been under the attention of the public due to the constant delay of deliveries in their supply chain. In 2016 only, the organization signed a contract with a supplier for $9.5 billion but faced a lot of criticism since the agency published that 30-50% of medicine deliveries arrived later than planned. Delayed deliveries can increase the supply chain costs for USAID as that will increase their storage needs for storing excess inventory, but more importantly, can disrupt a patient’s treatment, or potentially cause a loss of life. The solution for this problem can be a machine learning model - a combination of a classifier and a regressor, that will predict if a specific delivery in the supply chain of USAID is going to be delayed, and after that forecast the delay time of a potential delayed delivery. This can assist USAID’s representatives around the world in planning accordingly for a particular delivery arrival and make the necessary changes in order to prevent the possible side-effects.

We are investigating the genetic architecture of decayed sexual traits in asexual females of the parasitoid wasp Asobara japonia. In particular, we conduct QTL analysis for the female functional virginity trait, which referes to asexual females resisting to mate or not fertilizing eggs after mating. In the case of A. japonica, asexual females reject mating from males resulting in complete matin failure. We detected a single QTL with large phenotypic effects underlying the female functional virginity trait. Using PacBio genome assembly and transcriptomic RNAseq datasets, we found at least 131 protein coding genes underlying the single QTL, 15 of them showed differential expression in the sexual sister species Asobara tabida.

The first one, called Evaluation model, was developed to understand better the phenomena of muscle force production in Isometric conditions; This prototype is designed to emulate muscle response in a simplified way, neglecting effects such as yielding, and fiber recruitment. The second model, defined as Control model, has been developed as a linear product of two nonlinear components. The particular structure of the Control model was conceived to use this prototype for the design of the controller through particular control techniques that require a linear and simple model.
