Error Connecting from a Windows machine to a Linux Machine

Are cross OS connections supported? I'm on a Windows PC and trying to connect to a Linux machine that has Peerviewer 1.4 running on both machines. When I try to connect, I get the following error message. The Linux machine is a clean install, so I can't see what user would be listening on that id.

Turns out the firewall was blocking the request. Once opening the firewall for 5900, everything worked.
