Selecting large time frame drops events

Testing Method:
- Selected April 1st - April 30th as one event
- POST succeeds
- events in data is empty

Turns out it was something so much bigger.
It had nothing to do with the amount of time selected, but how the selection was being validated.
Squashed the bug and closing this issue.
