Much better docs explaining our data model

I recall @simon mentioning a few times that explaining our data model to potential customers can be a bit complicated (if I’m remember correctly!)

I see we have https://posthog.com/docs/how-posthog-works/data-modelthis page> which is pretty bare bones (only covers Events and Persons). https://www.docs.developers.amplitude.com/experiment/general/data-model/Amplitude> has one for Experiment only which is a bit better, which got me thinking maybe something that shows how all the products work together, plus a bit on account <> org <> project would be useful?

(I appreciate this is probably covered across multiple different pages in the docs)

What kind of request is this?

  • New docs page / feature
  • Update to existing page

Which product is this for?

  • Product OS (e.g. platform features)
  • Product analytics
  • Session replay
  • Feature flags
  • Experiments
  • Surveys
  • CDP
  • Data warehouse
  • Other (e.g. open source specific)

What's the priority?

  • Urgent AND important ("great scott, this is horribly wrong / out of date")
  • Important, but not urgent ("we need to do this, but not immediately")
  • Non-urgent (this could be better / would be nice to have)

Is there a deadline for this change?

  • Yes (please specify)
  • No
