It would be extremely helpful to have some sort of online sync in this app (e.g. GDrive, WebDav)

I prefer to use nextcloud for sync. It's opensource and have extensions support. What about this?

Ye, that's pretty much what I meant by WebDAV

We have our own api, it's open source and it's flexible

With latest commits online sync has been succesfully implemented, so i'm closing this issue

Is possible to the sync be self hosted? Or have information where and how our data is stored? I still prefer either an option using other sync provider or possibility to allow self hosting of sync aspect.

that is quite a cool suggestion and i'll be allowing custom sync servers soon enough
