general menu not showing

I tried adding a custom menu as the general menu here: https://github.com/Prototypr/prototypr-frontend/blob/b4cd6915998217012768c366f915d184fc3b72b5/lib/editor/typrNotesProps.js

but it doesn't show the menu for the logged out user, need to look into that
