3.1 Updates to Account Information

Users can update their account information on the Account Management screen whenever they like. Nintendo thus strongly recommends that your application update the account information it uses every time it launches.
Note:
The application must exit when the user goes to the Account Management screen. Therefore, the account information will never change while the application is running.
However, in the future it will become possible to use network accounts off-device (from a device other than the Wii U console). It will therefore become possible in the future for account information to be updated while the application is running.
