Mouse initialised twice on startup?

When I launch ezquake 3.6.1 I get the messages:

RAW mouse input initialised
Using SDL Audio Driver: wasapi @ 48000 hz
RAW mouse input initialised

I only have one mouse connected, it seems odd to initialise the mouse input both before and after sound initialisation instead of just once, maybe this startup can be be optimised?

are you still seeing this with newer clients? i changed some init stuff a long while back but it was well after 3.6.1 which i think may have fixed this.
