Connection issues when app is in background too long

Hello,
I noticed that the application can lose connection with my computer when it stays in background too long.
I'm experiencing the issue all the time when watching a movie : I use Sailfish Connect to manage the mouse remotely from my couch (I use it one or two times / movie). In the meantime, I leave the app in background. The issue is that if I wait too long before opening it again, I lose connection : the touchpad doesn't react and when going back in the menu I've got the connection issue message. The only quick fix is for me to hit the refresh button on the background app view to quickly reconnect it.
Has anyone also experienced it?
The phone goes to sleep after amount of time. Then the TCP connection seems to be disconnected for the other side.
In the next release Sailfish Connect will wake up in a small enough interval so that the TCP connection will be kept alive.
Can you please check whether the issue still exists in the 0.4.1 version.
I tried it out yesterday, and a minute ago to be sure: it doesn't work unfortunately :(
I still have to refresh the connection to make it work again.
Tests performed on 0.4.1-1
I can not reproduce your problems.
- What version of KDE Connect or GSConnect do you use?
- How long do you have to wait to see device disconnecting?
- Do you use the configuration option to run SailfishConnect in background?
I can not reproduce your problems.
* What version of KDE Connect or GSConnect do you use?
KDE Connect 1.3.5
* How long do you have to wait to see device disconnecting?
I didn't timed it, though I could do it if you want.
I'd say a couple minutes at most.
* Do you use the configuration option to run SailfishConnect in background?
I do.
So you close SailfishConnect and after same minutes the connection is gone.
When you leave SailfishConnect open after same minutes the connection is still alive, right?
I actually never close the app. I just lock my phone, and use it as a remote control when needed. (sorry, I forgot to respond :/)
