This issue was discovered in assignment 0850 when demonstrating how to claim a region. Region 851 was claimed, but not intended to be retained in the assignment since only for demonstration purposes. In trying to remove region 851 from the assignment, this error message occurred (see image below).

From our discussion @hyi @davidborland , the present solution involved removing and re-adding the metadata for these regions.

@hyi I was able to recreate this problem by claiming a region while in reviewer mode:

This happens every time I try to claim a region as a reviewer. I am using the exact same call to claim_assignment on the client side.
