Dependency on .NET Framework instead of .NET Standard

I am about to start a new implementation and was hoping to use an official dotnet (Core) client for integration but the dependency in Nuget package(s) for .NET Framework will mean I roll my own client instead.
Can you confirm if you intend to remove the dependency on .NET Framework or what the roadmap looks like for .NET Standard support?
