"Drop on title bar ..." overlay comes onto screen and stays

I'm running Version 0.6.1 under Cinnamon Mint 21.3.

After playing a couple of videos, the "Drop on title bar ..." overlay comes up on top of any video and stays. Changing to another video doesn't help. The overlay stays.

In fact, nothing helps. (I've tried quite a few things.)

If I knew where the graphic for the overlay was on disk, I'd replace it with a null file. But I have not been able to locate it.

Troubleshooting info:

GLib 2.78.6
GTK 4.12.5
Adwaita 1.4.7
GStreamer 1.22.8

Does this happen for you on Xorg or Wayland (or both)?

How would I determine that? (Sorry, but I have very limited knowledge of Linux.)

Default on Linux Mint is still Xorg, so I'm assuming that. Gonna need to check if I can reproduce your issue on Xorg.

For what it's worth, I did finally find a workaround of sorts (can now view unobstructed videos).

If I drop a URL on the top video title area, the video immediately plays ... albeit with the "Drop ... " overlay.

THEN, if I immediately drop THE SAME URL onto the "Drop ..." overlay, the overlay goes away.

Seems strange it would ever work like that. But software is sometimes strange!
