(9bit) Sound issue when surfing from Stormy Beach to Route 34 Coast

As the title says, there's a sound bug when surfing north from Stormy Beach to Route 34 Coast, the BGM cuts out completely until you get on land again. Encountering a trainer and battling does not reset the music.
