An issue related to the daycare occurred that I believe is related to the step counter.
Upon leaving two Pokémon in the daycare, while the RTC switches to dusk at 6:00pm, the game stops all step based processes. This means that steps stop counting towards eggs, and eggs stop being produced.
Removing one Pokémon from the daycare and then adding it back seemingly resolved the step counter issues.
I will update this issue when I determine more information about reproducing the bug.
