Purge command not replying when used as slash command

I noticed when using the purge command as a slash command, the bot doesn't reply with the message how messages the bot deleted.
But also there is no message from the existing interaction, that the execution failed.

When using ?purge 2 everything works as expected,
but when using /purge search 2 the bot only deletes one message and no response gets send.
