3DSXL can't receive stream from console

no matter what i do, i can't get ntr cfw to work with Snickerstream. HZmod is hot garbage when it comes to streaming quality and i keep getting an error message saying it can't receive the stream from the console. i ran it as administrator, is that not enough? im on an old XL, and i heard that counts as a new model.
