Feature Request: Animated JPG for snaps
Closed this issue · 2 comments
I'm not sure if its been raised or not. I love video snaps but usually the video itself is massively more in size than the actual rom and can more than tripled the storage space needed, plus videos dont run well on a Pi0. I have a few handhelds, which run Pi0.
Anyway, I also have a RS97 and theres a launcher on there that uses animated jpg images as video snaps. Works very well, obviously quality wouldnt look great on a 60" display but looks good on a handheld. The files are between 100k-500k in size each

Any chance some clever people could add animated jpg support into Emulation Station.
P.S. Theres a few tools that make converting AVI videos to animated JPG pretty much drag and drop. Thats how I did the ones in my video.
Try this FFmpeg

Or you can use other scrapper, example arrm this have two compress video integrate with ffmeg and handbrake
