MathJAX functionality

From what I can understand, this uses this package. That page says that there is support for MathJAX functionality as well, but I can't get it to work. I also noticed that the corresponding github page does not mention MathJAX, even though the rest of the description is identical.

Is it possible to write MathJAX using this plugin out-of-the-box? In that case - how?
