Is there some way to get the current chatID in the client-side using Javascript/Jquery ?

It is not currently available. If you really want to, you can always get this information in the cookies, but it won't be practical. Otherwise, you can fork this project and edit it, maybe we will support it ourselves as well @OlivierNguyen
