I get a silent fail if I set up my logging.properties exactly as you have it in your example. The console log continues to roll, but there is no logstash log. I'm sure I have the necessary dependencies in place, in the class path.
Even if I dial up the log level to TRACE, I don't see any failures or complaints.

Hi, can you show me your logging properties? I had some issues as well with glassfish. The problem was the interpretation of the properties in the glassfish stack.
