Not all lookup field are cloned into the cloned copy

We are experiencing an issue, where one custom lookup field is never cloned. All other lookups are cloned without any issues. Everything already checked: this field hasn't been excluded in the setup. Also, reducing the number of other cloned field doesn't help. Are any limitations?
