Feature request: power ups

Some power-up ideas:

  • Shots will bounce once off a wall, but explode on the second impact.
  • Shorter reload time between shots
  • Double shot (two shots go out with a small angle between them.
  • Reverse drive.

One idea is for a power-up to show up at the site of a tank death for a short period of time. Tanks have to roll over a power-up before it disappears to get it. When you die, you lose your power-ups.

  • Double tank speed.
  • Shots pass through one or more walls.
  • Some or all power ups only last for a set period of time. The time may vary depending on the power up.
  • Temporary invincibility
  • Shield. The shield may be activated on a key press and only last for a small amount of time requiring precision timing for its effective use.
  • Armour.
  • Mines.
  • Bouncing mines.

I'd recommend triple shot instead of double shot. Just so that you can still easily hit targets directly in front of you. In practice, the angle between the rounds fired by a double shot might not be an "upgrade" as much as a handicap.
