Jira and similar systems as a barometer for organizational culture

Lots of folks love to hate on Jira and similar tools, but I'd argue the issue is that those tools are already too locked down to be adaptable to the organization's needs, and that's why they get such a bad rap.

I used to absolutely hate Jira. Now I'm in an organization that supports doing what we need to do.
