Difference from RubyMoney / Migration

How does this project differ from RubyMoney/money? I see that this gem does not provide API for currency exchange, but are there any other differences? Are there any known issues with migrating from RubyMoney to this gem?
I was unable to find any info on this. Reason for asking is that the gem offsite_payments is changing the dependency from money to shopify-money in the latest release.
