I am opening another issue because I think it would be better if a reddit.com redirect to free and open source reddit ( librereddit ) could be done. - https://github.com/spikecodes/libreddit .

Many instances of searx (a open source search engines) are supporting librereddit links.

I believe this repo is no longer maintained.
You should have a look at the fork https://github.com/libredirect/libredirect.
