Fedora .rpm variant

Opened this issue · 5 comments

Hi, I would like to test this program on my Ryzen 7 4700U but I am using Fedora 36. I am wondering if this app will be developed only for Debian-based distro or in the future a .rpm version could be available? Thanks

We would like to do something to provide .rpm packages in the future.

I use Fedora also, so it would be great to have rpms

I've built rpm packages in my OBS home project, but only for openSUSE so far. Adapting for Fedora will take a bit more effort but shouldn't be too hard. I'd be happy if you add my spec file to your OBS project/package.
For some reason it doesn't want to launch on my Slimbook KDE/ProX 15, in openSUSE Tumbleweed/Plasma desktop...
I've opened a separate issue #30 for that problem.

Thank you!

I'd be happy if you add my spec file to your OBS project/package.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but if you mean that we could update our packages source adding your spec file, we can do it, just need some time to update all packages, we are quite busy :) but we'll find some time.

Thank you again, we really appreciate your effort!

I was a little bit afraid to bring up this issue that has been here in limbo for a year.

I have been doing a little experiment to generate an RPM package, imitating more or less what is done for Debian.
I haven't tested it yet but I'll leave it here if you want to take a look at it.
