Snow is not an effect

I am trying to make a snow section in my map and I need to add snow, mixed with the fog from ambiance it should be pretty convincing, the only issue is there is no way to add snow with the effects.

I went through every effect (1-168) and did not find a snow effect, am I missing something or is it just impossible? Can I request it to be put into the effects?

I'm not entirely sure what your bug report or question is. Are you trying to add snowy weather to your map? Are you trying to add a snowy material to your map?

If you're trying to do something other than one of those two things – you'll likely have to create a mod to achieve what you're looking for.

These snowflakes are just pngs so I would assume they would be in effects, since a bunch other similar to exactly this are in there but there isn't a snow effect at all? If this isn't a thing, can I request it to be put into the effects?

Right now its a separate weather system but there's no way to make it localized as far as i know. You could probably make an effect for it but it may be a pretty big hit to performance.
