Anything we can do to promote this? Seems like it may be a good idea to have people who are not necessarily programmers engaged in this kind of data entry task.

I guess take to FB and Twitter. Get some people on the ground that still have some sort of connectivity and access to some sort of power to help us out.

As of October 20, 2017, almost all buildings have been mapped by the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap volunteers (confirmation provided by a friend in MapGive). Additional metadata and validation needs to happen.
