Be aware of the purpose of registries and aware of some popular resources:

Platforms:
- CRAN/BioConductor (for R), PyPi, etc?
- Practical focus on https://bio.tools/ as the "exercise" platform or maybe zenodo?

Be aware of common standards/descriptions for software metadata (Bioinformatics, beyond?) and documentation needed for submission to registration
