I know this isn't exactly an issue, but I was wondering if anyone has tried to make this keyboard friendly or ARIA?

No. In addition, such a feature will increase the complexity of the entire solution by about a third.

@RubaXa I hope that we understand the importance of highly adopted libraries like this implementing the bare minimum support for screen readers and keyboard only interaction.

Not trying to trivialize the additional complexity here - I just think it's a lame excuse for dismissing accessibility altogether.
