Query Debug Mode feature from the old BloodHound
Opened this issue · 0 comments
Feature Description:
In the old Bloodhound, you could enable a feature called "Query Debug Mode" (or something like that) which allowed you to see the last run query in a debug panel at the bottom of the screen. This happened when clicking or navigating the UI, for example expanding the members of a group, or clicking execution privileges would show the query that just got executed. This was useful as the query could then be tweaked or saved for later.
Provide a clear and concise description of the feature you're requesting.
I want a query debug mode that shows the currently/last run Cypher query. Users can see the queries they are executing from the GUI and make tweaks to more easily create custom graphs.
Current Behavior:
The feature does not exist or if it does, I can't find it.
Explain how the software behaves currently in relation to the feature you're requesting.
The software does not have this feature, although the older Bloodhound did.
Desired Behavior:
The same as old Bloodhound.
Describe how you envision the software behaving after the proposed feature is implemented.
The same as old Bloodhound.
Use Case:
Saving and tweaking the automatically created queries from the GUI. I even sometimes expand "Domain Controllers" and copy the query into the Neo4j Web UI to list them out and save it as JSON.
Explain the context in which this feature would be useful. How will it benefit users or contributors?
As above.
Implementation Suggestions:
Show the currently/last run query in a box at the bottom of the window if "Query Debug Mode" has been ticked in some setting panel.
