This responds to the evolution of security systems of services and products that require more than 1 password.

For example: Any web service that requires two-step verification, mail services as ProtonMail with two passwords, online banking, debit/credit card, (other verification systems), etc. The method of using different entries for the same account could serve, but it becomes a chaos if you have many passwords.

The name of the password depends on the type of service, but usually a access password and verification.

By adding a new card, you can not add a associated password and even a card (debit/credit) may have two or more associated passwords.
