Ubisoft Connect causing an error when scanning (and a potential reason why.)

Describe the bug
When scanning, it gets stuck on "Grabbing games from Uplay..." and shows an error.

To Reproduce
Try scanning for games, and you'll see the error.

Expected behavior
For it to scan properly.

Additional context
After noticing that it looks for InstallDir registry keys, I looked for these in the Uplay Installs folder. I noticed that one of them didn't have a key called InstallDir, and instead had a different name (that I don't remember).
I removed the folder (since it was for a game I no longer had installed for some reason) and it started working properly again.
