User feedback:

Thank you for providing this very helpful tool to take some of the confusion out of filing. There are a few issues though that have left me scratching my head.

I used the form "Enlarge Time To File (Appeals Court)" which has at least a few issues with spelling and formatting. Don't take my word for it though, I suggest having a professional look the entire thing over carefully considering the importance of these documents which will be used by many people.

For example, section 1 has the words "file by brief" which certainly should read "file my brief". Section 2 states "my brief and appendix is currently due" - maybe this is legalese, but if not, shouldn't this read "are currently due"? Also, the title (Appellate motion for enlargement of time) is double-underlined, which seems unusual. And the certificate of service has the line "I have made or will make service on August 7, 2024" - no ending period. I'm not an extreme pedant but it really stands out as sloppy; errors like this can affect a judge's impression of the person filing.

The most glaring issue, though, is the font used. It shows up on my computer as Carlito (it looks similar to and maybe was created using Calibri?) I hadn't heard of this font, but if I remember correctly, this is not a legal font for Massachusetts courts. There are sure to be judges who look down on this more highly than others, and anything that makes a filing stand out negatively can affect a case. Certainly a template for creating legal documents should adhere tightly to the laws and standards.

All that said, thank you again for providing this tool which is quite helpful and I really appreciate. I just hope that the forms can be gone through with more care.

Ben
