Separate result list's horizontal margins into left and right margin

I'd really like to be able to increase the right margin of the result list independently of the left margin in order to prevent accidentally clicking on a result when I'm actually trying to use Smart Task Launcher or just want to swipe to go back.
Why isn't Smart Task Launcher preventing the touch?
Because I can either make the hotspot too wide so it interferes with normal use, or I can risk sometimes clicking outside of the hotspot.
But there's another reason I failed to mention before: I'd like to be able to use the gestures I set in TBLauncher, like double-tapping, swiping up/down, in the Search screen, too, which would be possible if the right margin would be greater. It looks really strange, though, if that increases the left margin, too.
